What is an operation independent of the number of pieces?
WHAT IS THIS?
By default, when registering work on tasks, workers enter the number of pieces they have made. In addition, you can set which operations will not require entering the number of pieces made, but only information whether the entire operation has been performed or not.
WHY DO I WANT TO USE THIS?
If your order consists of one piece of detail that will be processed by many workers for a long period of time (days / weeks / months), the worker will only register that the operation is not ready yet. When the detail is ready, the final worker will select the STOP - DONE button
HOW TO SET IT?
- Go to Products on the left side.
- For a new product, click in the upper right corner Add product, for an existing one, click on the edition (pencil option) on the right
- Then click on the technology tab
- Later, you will see the technology window for that product. Click the optional under machine name and select: This is independent of the number of pcs.
#Advice
If you have created an order for more than 1 item of the product, it is better not to set the final operation independent of the number of items (which works on the basis of 0/1 - 0 for the operation not ready and 1 for the finished operation), so there will be no status change in the order, because it has not reached the number of items in the order
