Usage of Raw material

In this article, you'll learn what the 'Usage' tab is for and how to use it.

Let's start with what this "Use" tab is in the first place.

This is where you will see how much raw material was used for a specific order. It's like the meter in your car that shows how much fuel you've used.

What will you find there? Everything is packed into one table. In it, you will find the order ID, the external order number, and how much raw material you have already used.

How to get there?

It's simple! You can access this tab from stock states, raw materials, orders, production orders, or work history. Simply click on the raw material you're interested in and then on the 'Use' tab. And voilà, you're there! 👌

#TIP - In other places, this tab may be labeled as "Raw Material Consumption." This is so you don't get surprised when you see something different.

How does it work?

It's simple. When workers finish working on an order, they enter how much raw material they have used. These data are then transferred to the table.

Want to know more about raw material usage? Then, click on the amount of raw material used, highlighted in blue.

This will open the "Raw Material Consumption" window, where you will see what raw material was used, who used it when the work was completed, how much raw material was used, how much should have been used according to technology, what was the batch number, whether the consumption is taken into account in the warehouse, and what else you can do, e.g., edit consumption or view history if the data has already been edited.

Oh, and one more thing: if you change anything, these changes will appear immediately in all available tabs. Isn't that super? 😎

When you enter the edit mode, you'll notice something on the right side called "change history preview." If changes were made, you'll see them here. It's like time travel, allowing you to trace everything that has ever changed. This allows you to track errors easily and fully control what is happening. 🕵️‍♀️

And that's it! Remember, we're always here to help you, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask! 😊
