Sorting and filtering

In this article, you'll learn about the purpose of filters in stock levels and how to use them.

How does it work?

Based on the data values of stock levels, you can filter individual values in the respective columns.

Raw materials:

1. Demand:

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • The filter above the inventory state - this value indicates that the demand for a particular raw material is more significant than its value in inventory states.
  • Above production state - after selecting this filter, it will display data for raw materials whose demand for production exceeds the quantity of raw material allocated for production.
  • Above ordered quantity - the demand for a specific raw material is greater than the quantity ordered from suppliers.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

2. In stock:

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • Filter below demand - this value means that the inventory value of raw material is less than the demand resulting from orders.
  • Optimal level in inventory - displays raw materials whose inventory level is optimal (#TIP - link to an article about inventory levels).
  • Below optimal inventory level - displays raw materials whose inventory level is below the assumed optimal level but has yet to reach the critical level.
  • The critical inventory level displays raw materials that have reached or exceeded that level in the inventory.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

3. On the shop floor (Note: this is displayed only when multi-warehouse support is enabled):

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • Below demand - displays raw materials whose value in the Production inventory is less than the demand resulting from orders.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

4. Ordered:

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • Filter below demand - shows raw materials whose order value is less than the demand from product orders.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

Products:

1. The sum from orders:

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • Above inventory state - displays products whose order value to customers is greater than the product value in inventory.
  • Above production state - displays products whose order total is greater than the quantity produced in Production.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

2. In stock:

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • Below demand - displays products whose value in inventory is less than the total order value.
  • Optimal level in inventory - displays products whose inventory level is optimal.
  • Below optimal inventory level - displays products whose inventory level is below the assumed optimal level but has yet to reach the critical level.
  • The critical inventory level displays products that have reached or exceeded the essential level for inventory.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

3. On the shop floor:

  • Sort in descending and ascending order.
  • Below demand - shows products whose quantity produced in Production is less than the total quantity required for production resulting from orders.
  • More than zero - displays all values greater than zero.
  • Less than zero - displays values less than zero.
  • Equal to zero - displays values equal to zero.

It may seem like a lot, but it will help you better manage your inventory states and reduce shortages.
