How to create a shop floor view and how to assign machines to it?
WHAT IT IS?
A shop floor view is used to record work and working time. In Prodio you can create an unlimited number of shop floor views.
When you create an account, a shop floor view is created for you by default, to which all machines are automatically assigned. If you want to create several views - below you will find instructions on how to do it!
WHY DO I WANT TO USE THIS?
If you have several production halls or you have created production nests - and if the employees in Hall 1 do not need to see what the employees in Hall 2 have to see, this feature is ideal for you. You can also set up assembly as a separate shop floor view - employees will only see the tasks that apply to them.
You can also use this function if you have two monitors - on one turn on one of the panels, and in the other browser (or incognito tab) the other production panel - this will affect the readability of the production plan display.
HOW TO SET IT UP?
On the left, click Settings, then shop floor view. In the list you will see all the shop floor views you have created so far, and in the upper right corner you will find a green 'Add shop floor view' button - click it!
When filling out the form, remember that the name of the shop floor views must not repeat!
Now let's move to the next step: assign a machine to a shop floor view. Click on the left side Settings and then Machines/Operations, where we can perform this task in two ways:
- by adding a new machine/operation,
- by editing an existing machine/operation.

Remember that the newly added machine/operation is automatically assigned to the Default shop floor view
FAQS
Can one machine display on several shop floor views at the same time?
No, we can assign each machine to only one shop floor view- it is not possible to set the same machine to display on several shop floor views.
