How do order statuses work and what do they mean?

Each order in Prodio can have a completely different status - find out what they mean and how they work!

WHAT IS THIS?

Order statuses show us at what stage the order is. Some of them change automatically as a result of an action you perform. The others will help you find yourself on the list of orders and correctly describe the order.

AUTOMATICALLY CHANGING STATUSES

New → order already added to the system, but not yet visible in production.

Confirmed → the status is assigned as a result of filling in the 'Confirmed date’ field in the order card in the edit tab.

Planned → is an order that has already been planned, divided into individual manufacturing tasks, and is already visible on the production panel.

In Production → work has been started on any manufacturing task in this order.

Partly done → on any manufacturing task from a given order, the number of finished pieces greater than zero has been recorded.

Done → the finished quantity (marked as “Finished product”) is equal to or greater than the planned quantity.

Closed → the status appears after the order is closed, as a result of which the order disappears from the list by default. They can be displayed by selecting the 'Check to display canceled and closed orders' slider at the top of the list in the orders tab.

Canceled → the status appears after the order is canceled, as a result of which the order disappears from the list by default. They can be displayed by selecting the 'Check to display canceled and closed orders' slider at the top of the list in the orders tab.

MANUAL CHANGING STATUSES

Manual statuses are those that we can only select manually from the list. They will never appear in the program as a result of any other action. The manually assigned statuses include:

Waiting → orders waiting for e.g. material, drawings from a technologist, visualization.

For shipping → orders ready for shipment, e.g. requiring courier orders.

Settled → orders that have already been cleared.

Invoiced → orders to which an invoice has already been issued.

Raw material ordered → order pending for material.

Raw material  arrived → it is an order that can already be planned, because the material is already in place.

#Tips

Automatic statuses can also be assigned manually and manually assigned from the list. However, you have to be careful - if we change the status manually, not all automatic statuses will work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can change order statuses?

People who can change statuses are users who have access to edit orders. You can check the permission levels here

Why is the order status still “In Production” when all manufacturing tasks have already been processed?

The program ends the order (changes its status to Done) when the ready number of pieces (marked as "Finished product" on the start / stop form) is equal to or greater than the planned quantity.

Can I add my order statuses?

The program does not have the option of creating its own order statuses. However, nothing is lost - write to us! We are happy to hear your every remark to improve our product!
