Break at work and registration activities related to production
We have introduced new options about pauses at work. Check out how to get the most out of it!
WHAT IS THIS?
Pauses are breaks in the execution of manufacturing tasks, which may be caused by activities related to production (e.g. cleaning the workplace) or a traditional break at work (e.g. for eating). In Prodio, you can choose the following types of breaks by default: Meal, Cleaning, Smoking, Inventory. However, it is not binding as each of them can be manually edited by the worker in the ‘Break for’ field by entering his own value.
You can view the recorded time and the reason for the break by entering the left menu in Working time, then the yellow button in the upper left corner Show Pauses.
Pauses work regardless of whether someone is working on the machine or not. Therefore, you can record both production-related activities when a worker is logged in a manufacturing task, as well as breaks during work on the manufacturing tasks or between them.
WHY DO I WANT TO USE THIS?
For one thing, the performance data is more accurate and does not drift apart due to interruptions of activities. You gain control over production-related activities - for your own analyzes, you collect information on how much time employees spend on breakdowns, services, unloading work, in order to be able to better calculate labor costs. You have a clear idea of who was doing what.
Additionally, you can increase control over employees - how many daily trips to ‘smoke’ are actually there, how many are actually planned breaks; everything is conveniently registered in the system in Working time.
